The Great Anansi: "How do you make a theme for evil itself?" I found myself struggling with that concept for a while. No matter what I put down, nothing sounded quite ominous and sinister enough, it didn't feel proper for Undertale's embodiment of hatred, murder, and evil. Then, I found the solution: That first fallen child contorted the lives of so many people, so why not contort their musical themes to match? So I took various motifs, normally uplifting and emotional, and made them into gnarled husks of their former selves. The power to take these themes that give people strength and happiness and, with a change of key and a change of pace, make that same song instill fear and horror; thus is the power of the musician. I made use of this power when I took a mere eight notes and turned it into an entire theme in my previous and most notable musical work, "Dark, Darker, Yet Darker", but this song is my greatest show of power yet. I hope you enjoy it, or else that it scares you and makes you never want to listen to it again. Either way, it's my labor of love...and, perhaps, of LOVE."
